Ottawa, ON – In its third draw of the year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has extended 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence to candidates in the Express Entry pool. The draw, held on January 23, 2025, was specifically targeted at individuals in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category.
To be eligible for this round of invitations, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 527. Additionally, applicants were required to have submitted an Express Entry profile before 7:06:43 AM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on July 23, 2024.
This latest draw follows a series of earlier invitations, including a Canadian Experience Class draw on January 8, 2025, and a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on January 7, 2025. The ongoing draws are in line with the IRCC’s broader immigration strategy, particularly focusing on applicants already residing in Canada.
In a statement, the IRCC reaffirmed its commitment to continue issuing invitations through the Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program streams, aligning with the "In-Canada Focus" allocation under Canada’s 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan. As part of this plan, the government has set a target of 82,890 new permanent residents through this stream in 2025.
