British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island recently conducted provincial immigration draws, inviting candidates to apply for permanent residency under their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).
Alberta
Alberta held an impressive 15 draws between November 29 and December 17 across various streams, issuing over 1,700 invitations. Each draw targeted specific streams and pathways, with minimum scores ranging from 43 to 65.
Key highlights include:
Alberta Opportunity Stream (November 29): 687 invitations with a minimum score of 61.
Dedicated Health Care Pathway - Express Entry (December 4): 52 invitations with a minimum score of 49.
Tourism and Hospitality Stream (December 12): 260 invitations with a minimum score of 65.
The draws also included the Accelerated Tech Pathway, Law Enforcement Pathway, and several priority sector-focused streams.
British Columbia
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) conducted draws on December 17 under its Entrepreneur Base and Regional Streams, issuing at least 11 invitations.
Entrepreneur Base Stream: 10 invitations with a cut-off score of 115.
Entrepreneur Regional Stream: Fewer than 5 invitations with a cut-off score of 114.
Manitoba
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held two draws on December 18, inviting 399 candidates in total.
International Education Stream: 297 invitations issued.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream: 102 invitations with a minimum score of 630.
Notably, 43 candidates invited declared valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes, increasing their chances of expedited processing.
Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island conducted draws on December 16, focusing on the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Stream and the Labour and Express Entry Stream.
Labour and Express Entry Stream: 32 candidates invited.
Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Stream: 1 invitation issued with a minimum point threshold of 125.
