Recent updates from British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island have revealed the nomination of candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), furthering opportunities for immigration in Canada.
These provinces strategically nominate individuals based on their potential to seamlessly integrate into the local workforce and contribute positively to the provincial economy. Securing a PNP nomination significantly bolsters an applicant's prospects when applying for permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
PNP allocations are a shared responsibility between IRCC and provincial governments, guided by the federal Immigration Levels Plan. Each province's nomination allocation hinges on factors such as population dynamics and the labor market's specific demands.
Provincial Immigration Highlights from December 19-29:
British Columbia
British Columbia's PNP draw on December 19 saw the invitation of 230 candidates, focusing on Skilled Workers and International Graduates across various in-demand occupations. Notable draws included invitations for tech occupations, construction roles, healthcare, and early childcare educators.
Manitoba
Manitoba conducted three draws within its Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) between December 21 and 29. Invitations were extended to Skilled Workers Overseas, candidates with close relatives in Manitoba, International Education candidates, and applicants under special measures for Ukraine.
Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan resumed its Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) draws on December 27, after a hiatus since October 23. The recent draw invited candidates in Occupations-in-Demand and Express Entry categories.
Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island issued invitations to 26 candidates from the Labour and Express Entry streams, with a focus on healthcare, construction, and food processing sectors. Additionally, three candidates were invited from the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
These recent PNP draws underscore Canada's commitment to facilitating immigration opportunities and meeting regional labor market needs.
Please note that all invitations and scores mentioned are based on the respective provinces' PNP draws and criteria at the time of issuance.
