In certain instances, sponsored spouses, partners, or dependent children could begin their journey to Canada within a mere three months (90 days), gaining the ability to work while awaiting IRCC's decision on their permanent resident application.

Spousal applicants, along with their dependent children residing with their sponsors in Canada and holding temporary resident status, now have the opportunity to apply for open work permits.
