Manitoba and Prince Edward Island Issue Invitations for Provincial Immigration

Both Manitoba and Prince Edward Island (PEI) have issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for nomination through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), offering new opportunities for skilled workers and international graduates to gain permanent residency in Canada.

Manitoba PNP Draws (February 14-21)

On February 20, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted two separate draws under different streams, prioritizing candidates with advanced levels of education and direct invitations.

International Education Stream

A total of 19 eligible candidates were invited under the International Education stream. To qualify, candidates had to meet the standard eligibility criteria and fulfill the following additional requirements:

• Hold a master’s degree or higher.

• Declare a Manitoba supporter who:

  • Is a close relative.

  • Is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

  • Has resided in Manitoba for at least one year.
    

Skilled Workers Overseas Stream

The second draw targeted candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, specifically those who had received a direct invitation from the MPNP through a strategic recruitment initiative. In this draw:

• 22 candidates received invitations.

• The minimum score among invited candidates was 711.

In total, 41 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued, including seven for candidates who had declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

Prince Edward Island PNP Draw (February 14-21)

On February 20, the PEI PNP held a draw under two pathways: Labour Impact and Express Entry. This draw targeted candidates who have been living and working in PEI for at least one year, prioritizing those employed in key occupations and sectors contributing to the province’s economic growth.

A total of 87 ITAs were issued to eligible candidates under these pathways. Additionally, international student graduates from the following institutions received priority consideration:

• University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)

• Holland College

• Collège de l’Île
