Ontario Targets Healthcare and In-Demand Occupations
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two draws targeting foreign workers with job offers in the province. The first draw focused on healthcare occupations, inviting 420 candidates with a minimum score of 50. A second draw invited 958 candidates in other in-demand occupations, requiring a minimum score of 54.
British Columbia Prioritizes Specific Sectors
The British Columbia PNP (BCPNP) conducted four targeted draws, inviting at least 135 candidates with skills in childcare, construction, healthcare, tech, and veterinary occupations. Each draw had a specific minimum score requirement, ranging from 80 to 120.
Manitoba Focuses on International Graduates and Strategic Recruitment
The Manitoba PNP (MPNP) held two draws. The first targeted international graduates with master's or doctoral degrees from Manitoba schools, while the second focused on skilled workers overseas under a strategic recruitment initiative. The latter required a minimum score of 703.
Express Entry Boost for Nominees
Of the total 292 ITAs issued this week, 37 went to candidates with valid Express Entry profiles. A provincial nomination grants an additional 600 points in the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System, significantly increasing their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
