The Canadian government has introduced category-based rounds of invitations as part of their permanent residence program. These rounds specifically target candidates who meet the eligibility criteria set by the Minister and align with specific economic goals. Eligibility is based on factors such as language proficiency, work experience in specific TEER categories of the NOC, and education. By introducing category-based rounds, the government aims to invite high-ranking candidates who can contribute to fulfilling these economic objectives. The selected categories for each round will be announced in advance, providing transparency and clarity to prospective applicants.
